Shepherds
In good company running down from the Kunzum La (4550m) to the beautiful crescent shaped Chandra Taal lake, passing several shepherds grazing alpine meadows. Shepherd dogs safeguard sheep from high altitude predators like snow leopards.
Streams
There are three dangerous stream crossings while walking from Chandra Taal towards Baralachala. The water currents become more dangerous as the glacial meltwater increases in the afternoon so it’s recommended to cross the same early morning
Shelters
There are many temporary shelters along the way from Kunzum La to Chandra Taal and Baralachala. The shelters are used by shepherds who graze their herds on the alpine meadows
